June 7 (Renewables Now) - Swedish renewables developer OX2 AB (STO:OX2) will provide management services for the 253-MW MB2 North wind farm in northern Sweden.
The company announced on Tuesday that its unit OX2 TCM had been selected run the technical, commercial and financial management in the long term. According to the announcement, OX2 TCM won the job following a competitive tender process.
MB2 North consists of 63 wind turbines installed outside the town of Pitea, and is part of the larger Markbygden wind power cluster in northern Sweden. The wind farm is owned by investors managed and serviced by Switzerland’s Energy Infrastructure Partners AG (EIP).
MB2 North becomes the eighth externally built wind farm where OX2 TCM serves as the technical and commercial manager. The Swedish firm says it performs these duties at around 3.5 GW of wind farms located in Sweden, Finland, Lithuania and Poland.
