Reservoir Link, Sunseap to build 9.7 MWp of rooftop solar in Malaysia

    June 8, 2022 - SeeNews Renewables

June 8 (Renewables Now) - A partnership between energy services provider Reservoir Link Energy Bhd and Singapore-based Sunseap Group Pte Ltd has been awarded two contracts to build roughly 9.68 MWp of rooftop solar systems in Malaysia.

As part of the first deal, signed with Osram Opto Semiconductors Sdn Bhd, RL Sunseap Energy Sdn Bhd will install around 7.7 MWp of solar arrays and building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) on rooftops and carparks located in Kulim, Kedah state. The firm will also deliver operations and maintenance (O&M) services of the solar systems for 25 years.

The second agreement is with PE Land (Penang) Sdn Bhd and it calls for RL Sunseap to design, construct, install, own, operate and maintain a 2-MWp solar PV system on the rooftop of Design Village Outlet Mall located in Penang state.

Reservoir Link said that, to date, it has successfully secured four contracts to provide rooftop solar PV systems with a combined capacity of 10 MW.
