Lisarb sails to Lisbon to bring 1 GW of renewables to Europe

    June 10, 2022 - SeeNews Renewables

June 10 (Renewables Now) - Renewables developer Lisarb Energy, headquartered in the UK but more commonly associated with Brazil, announced on Thursday that it has opened an office in Portugal to develop 1 GW of projects in Europe by 2023.

After developing a slew of renewables in Brazil, the group will seek to develop, finance, build and operate new solar, wind, marine and hydrogen projects in Europe out of its Lisbon office, it said.

“I look forward to working with the team as we roll out renewable energy projects across Portugal and other European countries, helping to meet their decarbonisation plans,” commented Antonio Loureiro, Lisarb’s newly-minted Head of Europe who is leading an initial team of six technical staff in the Portuguese capital.

Lisarb says its current pipeline consists of 4.6 GW of solar PV and wind farm projects in development and construction for centralised and distributed energy markets in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, and the UK.
