Repsol, Telefonica kick off solar solutions biz in Spain

    June 14, 2022 - SeeNews Renewables

June 14 (Renewables Now) - Spanish telecommunications company Telefonica SA (BME:TEF) and multi-energy group Repsol SA (BME:REP) have formally launched their joint venture (JV) to provide services in Spain’s solar self-consumption market.

First announced in March, the new business venture now has a name, Solar360, the partners revealed on Monday.

Solar360 will install solar panels and offer a palette of services, customised financing and tailor-made tariffs for private customers, neighbourhood communities, small and medium-sized enterprises and large businesses.

The business will benefit from Telefonica’s network of channels, technological capacity and IoT capabilities, and Repsol’s experience as a multi-energy major, the companies said.

Solar360 starts operations in Spain in June.
