Congo DR And Zambia Sign MoU For 789MW Hydro Project On Luapula River

News: The governments of Democratic Republic of Congo (Congo DR)?and Zambia have signed an inter-governmental memorandum of understanding (MoU)?to develop a 789MW hydroelectric project?over the Luapula River. The scope of work also includes the construction of a 330kV transmission line between Kolwezi (Congo DR) and Solwezi (Zambia). The Congolese state-owned power utility, Societe Nationale d'Electricite, and Zambia's state-owned power company, Zesco, will deliver the works (Enerdata).
