    Unipro: An agreement of understanding on the implementation of investment projects on the territory of Orenburg Region was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

      On June, 16, 2022, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the General Director of Unipro PJSC Maxim Shirokov and the Governor of Orenburg Region Denis Pasler entered into an agreement of understanding for elaboration of construction of wind power plants. It is expected that provided the competitive selection procedure is successfully undergone, Unipro PJSC will have constructed wind farms in the region by 2035 with the capacity of each of them reaching 200 MW.

      June 16 -- Unipro issued the following news release:

      On June, 16, 2022, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the General Director of Unipro PJSC Maxim Shirokov and the Governor of Orenburg Region Denis Pasler entered into an agreement of understanding for elaboration of construction of wind power plants.

      Under the agreement provisions, Unipro PJSC assumes to elaborate the issue of wind power plant construction in Orenburg Region and to adopt a decision on participation in competitive selection procedure for investment projects for construction of generating facilities operating based on the renewable energy sources (RES) in the period of 2023 - 2030. It is expected that provided the competitive selection procedure is successfully undergone, Unipro PJSC will have constructed wind farms in the region by 2035 with the capacity of each of them reaching 200 MW.

      In compliance with the concluded agreement, the Government of Orenburg Region shall, within its powers, assume obligations to support investment project at the stage of preliminary elaboration and further, in case the implementation decision is adopted, - at the stage of construction.

      In particular, the Government of Orenburg Region intends to render assistance in the training and engagement of highly qualified staff.
