Octopus Renewables Acquires 68MW Solar Project In UK

News: Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust has acquired the 68MW Breach solar project from AGR Renewables in Cambridgeshire and a 50% stake in a 12MW/24MWh ready-to-build battery energy storage project from Gridsource in Bedfordshire. The acquisition and construction of the solar park is estimated to cost around GBP50mn (USD61.1mn), while the battery energy storage system (BESS) is estimated to cost around GBP4mn (USD4.8mn). The solar deal also includes the right to build a 50MW/100MWh BESS facility, which will secure a ready-to-build status later in 2022 (Renewables Now).
