June 13 -- Endesa issued the following news release:

The Minister for the Presidency and Institutional Relations learned about the Endesa plant and the Shared Value Creation (CSV) measures that Endesa is applying around the plant.

Endesa's CSV Plan encompasses social, innovation and environmental actions in collaboration with more than a dozen entities in Ceuta.

The Minister for the Presidency and Institutional Relations, María Isabel Deu, today visited the Endesa headquarters in the Autonomous City of Ceuta to see first-hand the facility itself and the Shared Value Creation (CSV) measures that the company is applying in the surroundings of the plant and that is allowing the creation of a collaboration network with more than a dozen public and private entities in Ceuta.

José Ribelles, director of Operation and Maintenance of the Endesa Gas plants, Inmaculada Fiteni, director of the company's CSV plans, Antonio Cantarella, head of the Balearic Islands, Ceuta and Melilla plants and Ignacio Sabugal, director of the plant, They have been in charge of receiving the institutional representative of the Autonomous City with whom, after knowing in detail the operation of this infrastructure and the social development plans, they have toured the interior of this historic plant that directly employs some 40 workers and indirectly to another 30.

"It is an honor for us to open the doors to the Ceuta government of this plant, which is not only an emblem in terms of technology and applied environmental measures, but also in terms of the city's own involvement with its activity," said José Ribelles who highlighted the history of the plant and the different actions that are carried out around its activity.

For his part, Deu congratulated Endesa for "the work carried out in this facility and the social benefits that involve the local community benefiting everyone, it is a perfect synergy for Ceuta", he concluded.

      Planes CSV

"Endesa has designed a support plan for the operation and maintenance of the plant, focused on the social environment, innovation and the environment", explained Inmaculada Fiteni, who showed the main actions that have been carried out within this framework of work with social actions that range from the contracting of local companies to energy efficiency workshops, innovation actions such as the certificates obtained from management or the optimization of consumption, and environmental actions with the control of emissions, the evaluation of waste and the donation of material to animal protection associations.

Among the main actions carried out in this plan, the director of Endesa's CSV has highlighted the training courses given to Vocational Training students from IES Almina and IES Abyla, where 4th year ESO students have also participated. and 2nd Bachelor. These courses, which are currently being carried out in some cases, are aimed at training students in different areas of the energy sector, in order to open up a future job in this sector.

Precisely following this philosophy of integration, Endesa has also announced its collaboration with a non-profit entity from Ceuta with which it is working on the integration of people with disabilities into working life. In this sense, an agreement is being worked on by which the people of this association can carry out face-to-face practices at the plant itself.

Endesa's CSV plan also contemplates informative actions with NGOs and other social entities with which it works in disseminating energy efficiency workshops so that professionals who work with the most vulnerable people can provide all the necessary information on issues as efficiency. Likewise, Endesa carries out educational programs through its Endesa Foundation, in order to make the world of energy known to educational centers in Ceuta.

One of the recent actions carried out by Endesa within the framework of its CSV plan is collaboration with the Ceuta School of Art and the Department of Education and Culture of the Autonomous City, with whom it has collaborated to design and draw a mural that pays homage to the Ceuta-Tetuán railway line and that will be reflected in the walls of the plant.

This symbiosis with the environment is also reflected in an action promoted by a former plant worker to donate 600 m2 of wooden panels that have been used to build more than 114 homes for 400 stray cats in collaboration with the Cat Community of the Autonomous City .

But it is not the only material that is donated from the Central. Endesa has announced the upcoming processing of the donation of medical equipment and material from the old health service of the plant to the Health Department of the Autonomous City. Likewise, the company is collaborating with other associations for the donation of luminaires for more efficient ones coming from the offices themselves, or the donation of wood and various materials to other local associations, thus promoting the circularity of the elements present in the central .
