BII Joins Norfund-Scatec JV To Build 205MW Hydropower Project In DRC

News: British International Investment has unveiled plans to join a joint venture between Norfund and Scatec to develop a 205MW hydroelectric power plant in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Called Ruzizi III, the power plant will be located on the Ruzizi River with financial close expected by the end of 2022. Construction work is likely to start in 2023 with operation due for 2027 (Enerdata).
