Masdar Starts Construction Of 1GW Solar Projects In Iraq

News: Abu Dhabi Future Energy (Masdar) has started work for the construction of 1.0GW solar capacity in four governorates in Iraq. Under the deal, Masdar will build two solar facilities in the governorates of Maysan and Nineveh, each 100.0MW; a 450.0MW solar project in Dhi Qar and a 350.0MW solar power plant in Al-Anbar. The 1.0GW deal is part of three solar projects with 2.75GW combined capacity. The other two include a deal with TotalEnergies for a 1.0GWp solar complex and 750.0MW of solar capacity with Mainland China-based Power Construction Corp of China (Power China) (Renewables Now).
