    China Second Metallurgical Company won bid for 400MW wind power tower production project in Qingyang, Gansu

      June 28 -- China Metallurgical Group Corporation issued the following news release:

      On June 25, China Second Metallurgical Company won the bid for the 400 MW wind power tower production project in Qingyang City, Gansu Province.

      The project is located in Huachi County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province, with an installed capacity of 400 MW and an average annual power generation of about 880 million kWh. China Second Metallurgical Company is mainly responsible for the steel structure within the scope of construction drawings and the tower production, internal parts installation, barrel sandblasting, anti-corrosion engineering and other contents included in the complete set of construction drawings. A total of 80 sets of towers were produced, totaling more than 24,000 tons, and the contract construction period was 300 calendar days.

      The project is one of the 32 key projects in Qingyang City, Gansu Province in 2022. After the project is completed, it will provide sufficient power for the "East Number West Calculation" project of the National Data Center Cluster. At the same time, it will play a positive role in optimizing the energy structure of Gansu Province, promoting the development of new energy industry, achieving the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, and promoting the efficient, clean and intensive green development of Qingyang City.
