    Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group Submits Chinese Patent Application for Floating Type Concrete Supporting Structure and Mooring Method

      Beijing, June 28 -- Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group has submitted a patent application for floating type concrete supporting structure and mooring method. This invention was developed by Wang Kangshi, Xu Yiqing and Zhou Meihong.

      An abstract released by the State Intellectual Property Office of China states: "The invention discloses a floating type concrete supporting structure and a mooring method. The floating type concrete supporting structure comprises a concrete tower, a tower foundation and a floating body structure. The tower foundation is located between the concrete tower and the floating body structure. The bottom end of the concrete tower is arranged on the tower foundation, and the top end of the concrete tower is connected with a fan steel tower drum; the top end of the floating body structure is connected with the bottom end of the tower foundation, and the floating body structure is used for providing support for the concrete tower and the tower foundation. The manufacturing cost of the floating type fan foundation is reduced."
