Finland: Skarta Finland to carry out BoP works for Abo Wind's 87-MW wind farm

Construction company SkartaNYAB's subsidiary, Skarta Finland, has entered into a Balance of Plant (BoP) project agreement with German developer of renewable energy projects Abo Wind for the construction of the Pajuperänkangas onshore wind farm in Haapajärvi, Finland. The contract includes wind farm roads, lifting areas, foundations and electrical cabling work in the wind farm area. Construction work will begin in July 2022 and finishing work will be completed in spring 2023. The total value of the contract is approximately EUR 10mn.

With 14 wind turbines supplied by Danish wind turbine solutions and services provider Vestas Wind Systems, the wind farm will have a nameplate capacity of approximately 87 MW. Electricity generation is expected to begin in July 2023.
