    Jordan : Al-Rawashdeh: (SIGRI) The National is working on forming local committees to advance the capabilities of Jordanian engineers

      General Manager of the National Electric Power Company/Chairman of the Jordanian National SEJRI Association, Eng. Amjad Rawashdeh, said that work is underway to form local committees and working groups in SEJRI Jordan to advance the capabilities and expertise of Jordanian engineers and facilitate benefiting from global expertise. In a speech at the opening of the activities of (Jordan SIGRI Symposium - Horizons of Regional Electricity Interconnection), he stressed the importance of the Jordanian National Sijri Committee in bridging the gap between industrialists, academics, companies and institutions working in the field of electrical energy and the committee's role in exchanging experiences between engineers and discussing challenges, urging Jordanian engineers to Participation in the National Committee to benefit from the global scientific benefits offered by membership in the Committee.

      He said that the National SEJRI Committee contributes to finding innovative technical solutions facing the electrical power systems in Jordan and feeds them from global experts involved in SIJRI. Pointing to the role played by the Jordanian (Sijri) Committee, through work programs and seminars, in discussing important technical issues, including the topic (prospects for the regional electrical connection) because of the great importance of the topic.

      The Secretary-General of the Jordanian National SEJRI, Engineer Eid Al-Assaf, gave a presentation on SEJRI, and said that SIJRI works through its national committees represented in various countries and regions of the world. In the various conferences organized by SIGRI in different countries and in the membership of national and global study committees and working groups in various fields the sixteen electric power systems adopted by SIGRI World.

      The participants in the one-day symposium discussed a set of lectures, during which the Assistant Director-General for Planning at the National Electric Power Company, Eng. Ahmed Al-Dahni, discussed the prospects and benefits of the Jordanian regional electrical connection, reviewing the experience of the Jordanian electrical system and the impact of the connection on the stability of the electrical system for the associated systems. Dr. Omar Ibrahim Mohamed (Princess Sumaya University for Technology) presented the future of electrical systems scenarios, highlighting the electrical connection requirements and environmental requirements, while Dr. Jumana Al-Shawara (Tafila Technical University) presented a case study on the importance of electrical interconnection to overcome the challenges of renewable energy and its stability. For his part, the work coordinator of (SEJRI) Jordan, Eng. Murad Al-Omari, presented the working mechanism of the 16 committees that will take place in the areas of competence in electrical power systems and their role in exchanging experiences and working groups emanating from these areas that work to keep pace with scientific developments and constitute an opportunity for Jordanian engineers to network with their counterparts in the world and publish their scientific research on global platforms.

      In turn, the Chairman of the Higher Technical Committee in (SEJRI) Jordan, Dr. Abdullah Al-Adenat, reviewed the role and technical activities of the (SEJRI) Committee, urging Jordanian engineers to interact with the Committee. The Jordanian SEJRI Association was formed in 1989 with the aim of benefiting from the scientific and technical exchange provided by the international SIJRI in the field of developing electrical systems around the world.
