    Adani Power and Jindal Power May Bid for Ind-Barath Thermal Power Project in Tamil Nadu, India

      Adani Power Ltd (APL), a power and energy company, and Jindal Power Ltd (JPL), a steel and energy company, are in the race to acquire Ind-Barath thermal power project in Tamil Nadu, India, as said by two people aware of the matter. The combined installed capacity of the power projects is 300 MW

      The two completed power generation units of 150 MW each, located at Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, but the plants have been shut since 2016 due to the lack of power purchase agreements (PPA)

      Both JPL and Adani Power submitted expressions of interest and are evaluating the prospects of giving respective binding bids, said the people cited above.
