    GridPoint CEO to Join Walgreens and Leap at VERGE Electrify to Discuss Smart Buildings as Grid Resources

      GridPoint CEO Mark Danzenbaker will join David Hughes, senior director of Facilities, Energy and SmartBuildings at Walgreens and Christie Dodge, head of Partner Success at Leap, a leading energy market access provider, to discuss how small and midsize businesses are using smart technology, like automated demand response, to support building electrification, reduce energy bills and meet climate goals at VERGE Electrify.

      The panel session, "Smart, Connected Buildings as a Resource" will explore how buildings can be an active participant to balance grid resources in an all-electric future. Heather Clancy, vice president and editorial director at GreenBiz Group will moderate the discussion.

      VERGE Electrify is a two-day event that brings together technology experts to share learnings and best practices for electrifying transportation, buildings and industry -- rapidly and equitably.       Christie Dodge heads the partner success team at Leap, a leading software company whose platform enables distributed energy resources to access wholesale energy markets. Her passion for addressing climate change has led her through client solutions roles at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, FirstFuel Software (acquired by Uplight), and most recently battery storage developer and operator Advanced Microgrid Solutions (AMS, acquired by Fluence and Stem). Christie holds a BS in environmental science and psychology, and an MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business.

      Heather Clancy, vice president and editorial director, GreenBiz

      Heather Clancy is an award-winning business journalist specializing in chronicling the role of technology in enabling corporate climate action and transitioning to a clean, inclusive and regenerative economy.
