Spearmint Energy acquires 150 MW battery energy storage project in ERCOT power market.

    August 2, 2022 - NS Energy

Spearmint Energy, a next-generation clean power firm allowing the green electricity revolution through battery power storage, disclosed on 29 Jul 2022 that it has bought a 150 MW battery energy storage project (the "Project" or "Revolution") from Con Edison Development, a 100%-held arm of Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses. Revolution, situated adjacent to the King Mountain Wind Farm in the Lower Colorado River Authority Territory, will offer much-needed battery energy storage assets to West Texas' ERCOT market. It is the first project in Spearmint's portfolio since the firm was unveiled in early 2022 and will effectively offer green energy to the grid upon development completion. Among the largest batteries in Texas, US, it is expected to reach notice to be launched in 2Q 2023. Original Source: NS Energy,
