    Acciona's offshore wind power boost

    August 4, 2022 - CE Noticias Financieras

Acciona has set its sights on Italy as a geographical platform for boosting its offshore wind energy business. The group headed by José Manuel Entrecanales has already proposed six projects to the Italian authorities to develop floating wind farms at different points along the country's coast.

The total investment volume exceeds 14,750 million euros. An amount that reveals Acciona's aspirations in this activity, although it will have to look for partners or abandon some of the projects if all of them are approved.

This is a long-term commitment by the Spanish group, which has already taken steps in this direction, such as the alliance with SSE or the purchase of a stake in Eolink.
