DCEC Prequalifies Bidders For 500MW Floating Wind Projects In France

News: The French Directorate General for Energy and Climate (DGEC) has prequalified a consortium of Corio, Qair and TotalEnergies and 12 other candidates to participate in a tender to develop 500MW floating wind farms in France. The proposed farms will be built in areas off Narbonne and off the Gulf of Fos, with 250MW capacity each, expandable up to 750MW. The consortium plans to launch joint bids for the schemes, with results likely by the end of 2023 (Renewables Now).
