    China : Xinjiang Hami 600,000-kilowatt wind-storage integration project started

      Recently, the foundation stone was laid for the Hami 600,000-kilowatt wind power and 156,000-kilowatt/600,000-kilowatt-hour energy storage supporting project of China Power Construction New Energy Group Xinjiang Branch, which was contracted by the 11th Bureau of Hydropower.

      The project is located in the Suhaitu Gobi Desert, about 60 kilometers northeast of Santanghu Town, Balikun County, Hami City. The entire wind farm covers an area of ??about 90 square kilometers. A total of 100 wind turbines are deployed in the project, with a scale of 600,000 kilowatts, and a 4-hour energy storage system, that is, a scale of 156,000 kilowatts/600,000 kilowatt-hours of energy storage systems. At the same time, a new 220 kV booster station was built on the site.
