PE investor Hull Street Energy backs energy storage co Flatiron

    August 8, 2022 - SeeNews Renewables

August 8 (Renewables Now) - Private equity firm Hull Street Energy announced last week it has made a strategic investment of an undisclosed size in Flatiron Energy LLC, a Colorado-based energy storage company.

Flatiron develops, owns and operates utility-scale energy storage facilities through a team that has worked on more than 6 GWh of storage projects in key energy markets across the country to date. The company’s approach involves partnering with landowners, utilities and local community organisations.

The buyout firm said in a statement that it is expanding its presence in the energy storage segment as it actively targets opportunities to invest in transition critical businesses and infrastructure.

Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP served as legal counsel to Hull Street Energy, while Clean Energy Counsel LLP acted as legal counsel to Flatiron.
