Sweden: Vida, Bixia, Svea Solar sign solar park contract

    August 10, 2022 - M-Brain Nordic News

Swedish sawmill group Vida, electricity company Bixia and solar energy company Svea Solar have signed a contract for establishing a large solar park in Blekinge. The construction will commence in autumn 2022 and the solar park is expected to be operational in spring 2023. It will be Sweden's largest solar park and contribute with 19 GWh of electricity production in electricity area 4. Svea Solar will build, own and manage the solar park, while Vida will purchase the electricity produced through Bixia. The contract enables Vida to further reduce its environmental impact. The contract is valid for 10 years.
