      BayWa r.e. Secures EPC Contract For 30MW Solar And Battery Energy Storage Project In Hawaii, US

      News: BayWa r.e. Power Solutions, an affiliate of BayWa r.e., has won an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the development of a 30MW/43MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) farm, with a 30MW/120MWh battery energy storage system in the US state of Hawaii. Called Waikoloa, the facility will be owned and operated by AES. The facility, which will come up on 1.21sq km of land, has a 25-year power purchase agreement with Hawaiian Electric Company for the procurement of output. It will feature bifacial PV modules mounted on single-axis trackers and lithium-ion batteries. Completion of the project is expected in Q422 (Renewables Now).
