ScottishPower starts work on the East Anglia THREE wind farm

    August 11, 2022 - CE Noticias Financieras

LONDON, Aug 11 (Reuters) - ScottishPower Renewables said on Thursday it has started onshore construction of its East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm, which will power about 1.3 million homes.

East Anglia THREE, located off the coast of Suffolk, England, will have a capacity of 1.4 gigawatts of renewable electricity and will contribute to the government's target of installing 50 GW of offshore wind power by 2030.

The wind farm is part of the so-called East Anglia Hub, which will feature three offshore wind farms and supply around 3 GW of power in total.

Parent company Iberdrola has stated that the investment cost of the East Anglia Hub is about £10 billion ($12 billion) and construction is expected to be completed in 2026.
