Ground Broken For 1.4GW East Anglia Three Wind Farm In UK

News: ScottishPower Renewables has broken ground for the construction of its second wind farm with 1.4GW capacity off the Suffolk coast in the UK. Called East Anglia THREE, the wind farm is part of GBP6.5bn (USD7.86bn) East Anglia Hub which will deliver 3GW of clean power. The project will feature onshore converter station to be installed in partnership with Siemens Energy and Aker Solutions at Bramford in Suffolk while NKT Cables will be in charge of the required cable network. Works on access road to converter station, drainage work and earthworks are likely to be complete by end of 2022, according to a press release from ScottishPower Renewables.
