Early Construction Work Starts On Two Solar PV Projects In Australia

News: Lightsource bp, a 50-50 joint venture (JV) of Lightsource and bp, has started early construction works on two photovoltaic (PV) projects in the Australian states of New South Wales (NSW) and Victoria. The 400MW Wellington North and 90MW Wunghnu solar will come up in Orana region of NSW and Goulburn Valley Region of Victoria, respectively. The projects are backed by power purchase agreements with Engie, Orica and Mars Australia. Gransolar is the engineering, procurement and construction contractor. Financial close for the project is due by the end of 2022 with completion scheduled for 2024, according to a press release from Lightsource bp.
