    Wind accounts for 26.54% of UK’s power output on Sep 4

      September 5 (Renewables Now) - Wind turbines generated 26.54%, or 158,867 MWh, of all electricity in the UK on September 4.

      Power plants in the country produced 598,498 MWh for the whole day, based on data by Elexon, the Balancing and Settlement Code Company (BSCCo).

      On September 2, UK wind parks produced 117,800 MWh of electricity, thus accounting for 16.59% of the total power output in the country for the day. A day later, they generated 182,505 MWh for a 29.37% share.
