The Galician renewable energy company multiplied its net profit by 4.5 times in the first half of the year, earning 12.1 million euros, compared to 2.7 million in the same period of the previous year. "These are the best economic results in Ecoener's history in a six-month period, and they ratify the company's strategy and growth plan," explained the group's president, Luis de Valdivia.
Gross operating profit (ebitda) stood at E25.1m, 116% above the first half of 2021. Ecoener closed the first half of the year with revenues of E38.4m, up 88%.
Operating cash flow increased by 110% to E24.6 million, up from E11.7 million in 2021. Investment in its assets exceeded 34 million during the first half of this year, increasing by 14 million more than in the same period last year, representing an increase of 75%.
The company currently has a generation capacity of 171 MW of installed capacity, comprising 7 hydroelectric plants, 13 photovoltaic plants and 9 wind farms.
Ecoener's portfolio of operations includes assets in Spain and ten other countries in Central America, South America, Central Europe and Africa. It has 186 MW under construction, which will contribute significantly to increasing ebitda in 2023.
