    All four Maverick solar projects are now in service, EDF Renewables NA says.

      EDF Renewables North America (EDF Renewables NA) announced that operations of all four units of the Palen Solar project in Riverside County, CA, US, have commenced. The site comprises of 200 MWh of battery energy storage and 620 MWdc of solar PV. The four units from EDF Renewables NA include Maverick 1, with 173 MWdc (125 MWac) output capacity; Maverick 4 with 137 MWdc (100 MWac) capacity; Maverick 6, with 131 MWdc (100 MWac) capacity and 200 MWh (50 MW) battery storage; Maverick 7, with 179 MWdc (132 MWac) capacity. The Asset Optimization group of EDF Renewables will be responsible for the operations and maintenance services. The group will offer remote monitoring, NERC compliance support, and balance-of-plant management to maximize power generation. Under power purchase agreements (PPA) for 15 years, Maverick 1 supplies 125 MW of its power to Southern California Edison and Maverick 4 and 7 provide electricity to Shell Energy North America.
