    Norway: Bouygues acquires Oo-Star technology

    September 19, 2022 - M-Brain Nordic News

France-based Bouygues Travaux Publics has acquired the ownership of Oo-Star, a solution for floating offshore wind farms developed by Dr.techn. Olav Olsen of Norway. The intension is to mass-produce the semi-submersible concrete foundations in a cost-effective way based on Bouygues' expertise in industrial serial production of large concrete structures for the marine environment. The two companies will co-operate about supplies to a market that is considered having a great potential or growth. The solution is possible to adapt to all sea conditions, reduce the carbon footprint of larger offshore wind farms and has the potential for major cost reductions of renewable energy production.
