    Kyrgyzstan publishes electricity consumption forecast for 2022

      BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 20. According to the forecast of the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, electricity consumption by the population of the country in 2022 is expected to reach 16 billion kWh, Trend reports with reference to tazabek.kg.

      As reported, the Ministry of Energy 2022 plans to generate 10.9 billion kWh of electricity at hydroelectric power plants in Kyrgyzstan, and 2.5 billion kWh at the Bishkek thermal power plant (TPP).

      The total volume of electricity generation by hydroelectric power plants in Kyrgyzstan, excluding small ones, from January through July 2022 amounted to 6.5 billion kWh, TPP - 1.3 billion kWh, which is 58 percent of electricity from the planned total for 2022.
