    Chile's renewables ramp up output by 23.7% y/y in Aug

      September 23 (Renewables Now) - Chile produced 31.8% of its power in August from renewable sources, Chilean energy commission CNE said in the latest report on the sector.

      The country’s renewables produced 2,238 GWh gross of electricity, which represented an increase of 7.9% compared to July, and up by 23.7% year-on-year.

      The renewables share in July was 28.7%.

      The total net installed renewable energy capacity in Chile’s system increased to 10,398 MW in August from 10,132 MW in July.
