News: EDP Renewables North America has broken ground on the construction of a 240MW solar park in the US state of Texas. Called Cattleman I, the solar facility is estimated to cost USD280mn and is likely to generate power that can serve 37,000 households. The facility will sell its output under two long-term power purchase agreements, including 156MW PPA with Meta Platforms and 60MW PPA with Bristol Myers Squibb. Operations are scheduled to start in 2023 (Renewables Now).
