Acciona Energia inks PPA with ZEN for Aussie wind farm

    September 26, 2022 - SeeNews Renewables

September 26 (Renewables Now) - Spain’s Acciona Energia (BME:ANE) said on Monday that it has signed a ten-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Australian electricity retailer ZEN Energy to deliver it 200 GWh per year from a wind farm in the state of Victoria.

The contract is tied to the 192-MW Waubra wind farm, which has been in operation since 2009.

Once Acciona’s largest wind farm in Australia, Waubra can generate enough power to meet consumption needs of some 138,000 households. The PPA specifies that ZEN is to procure 34% of Waubra’s total production output, Acciona Energia said.
