    Today's electricity prices, Monday, September 26, 2022: the cheapest and most expensive hours of the day

      Consumers will have to be attentive this Monday, September 26. There will be hours when putting the washing machine, ironing or using the oven will be more advisable to save on the electricity bill. The average reference for the whole day in the wholesale market will be 160.57 euros, 77.7% more expensive than yesterday, according to the operator Omie. Once again, hour by hour there will be large differences.

      The wholesale market figures are reflected in the consumer's bill. The most expensive hour will be between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., when the price will rise to 0.39 euros/kWh. The cheapest hour, on the other hand, will be between 2 am and 3 am, when the megawatt hour will cost just 0.16 euros per megawatt hour.

      This is the hourly cost of electricity for this Sunday in the regulated tariff (PVPC, toll 2.0 TD), according to Redeia. These figures already include the cost of the daily and intraday wholesale market, adjustment services, financing, variable marketing cost, tolls and charges. It may also include other items such as capacity payments, surpluses or deficits from renewable auctions and costs for interruptibility services.
