    Huaneng Clean Energy Res Inst Applies for Patent on Doubly-Fed Wind Turbine Generator Control System and Method with Low Voltage Ride Through Capability

      Beijing, Sept. 27 -- Huaneng Clean Energy Res Inst has applied for Chinese patent for doubly-fed wind turbine generator control system and method with low voltage ride through capability. Zhang Junjie, Jin Qiang, Yang Boyu, Zheng Ruxin, Jiao Chong, Lin Weirong, Cai Anmin, Li Lisen, Lin Xuefeng, Li Yuan, Zhang Linwei, Xu Yang, Zheng Lei and Yuan Xiaoxu developed it.

      The patent application number is CN202111249351 20211026. The patent publication number is CN113991733 (A). International Patent Classification codes are H02J3/24 and H02J3/38. Cooperative Patent Classification codes are H02J3/241 (CN), H02J3/381 (CN) and H02J2203/20 (CN).

      The abstract of the patent published by the State Intellectual Property Office of China states: "The invention belongs to the technical field of wind power generation, and particularly relates to a double-fed wind turbine generator control system and method with low voltage ride through capability. The doubly-fed wind turbine generator control system with low voltage ride through capability is characterized in that a generator current output port is connected with a wind turbine generator grid connection point power supply current input port, a doubly-fed converter is connected in parallel at two ends of a generator, and a generator signal output end is connected with a doubly-fed converter pulse signal input end through an encoder; a voltage measuring point is arranged between the generator and the wind turbine generator grid-connected point power supply after the generator is connected with the double-fed converter in parallel, and the voltage measuring point is connected with the voltage signal input end of the double-fed converter. The doubly-fed converter is connected with the generator in parallel, the generator is connected with the doubly-fed converter through the encoder, and the voltage signal and the pulse signal of the generator are accurately obtained."
