    September 29, 2022 - Bokszczanin Marcin

According to the bill, regular households will have their electricity price frozen at the 2022 level up to consumption of 2,000 kWh, households of disabled person will have a higher consumption threshold at 2,600 kWh and households with many children and farmer households will sport an even higher threshold of 3,000 kWh.

Additionally, households using electricity for heating will receive a PLN 1,500 subsidy.

The cost of the bill is seen at PLN 26.8 bln, including PLN 23 bln in compensations for power utilities. That price tag includes PLN 2.8 bln cost of compensations in 2024-25.

Poland earlier signaled that at least a part of the compensations could be financed from the yet to be coined windfall tax.
