    EBRD undertakes to support Tunisia in its green hydrogen production strategy

      (TAP)-The representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Board of Directors affirmed the Bank's commitment to support Tunisia in the different stages of the implementation of the national strategy for the production of green hydrogen to reduce carbon emissions, according to the Tunisian Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines.

      They asserted on Wednesday during a working session chaired by Industry, Energy and Mines Minister Neila Nouira Gongi, the EBRD's support for Tunisia's programmes to combat climate change with a view to ensuring sustainable economic growth.

      The minister outlined the main thrust of the economic and social programme drawn up by the government, the main orientations of the industry, mining and energy sectors, and the major challenges facing these sectors in the wake of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

      She reviewed the priorities and future programmes of her department to tackle the economic situation and the industry sector's strategic vision for 2035, which seeks to consolidate human resources, focus on the green economy and boost investment, private initiative and social inclusion.
