News: Sweden-based utility Vattenfall has exercised its right of entry to develop and build the 980MW N-7.2 offshore wind power project in the German North Sea. In September 2022, RWE was selected as the winning contender with a zero-subsidy bid in a tender to develop the offshore wind facility. Vattenfall had the option to exercise its right of entry by matching RWE's offer by the end of October 2022. The state-owned utility intends to connect the wind power plant to the German grid in 2027 (Renewables Now).
