FRV Australia Secures Funding For 100MW/200MWh Battery In Victoria, Australia

News: The Government of the Australian state of Victoria has agreed to provide funds to Fotowatio Renewable Ventures Australia (FRV) to support the construction of a 100MW/200MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project. FRV Australia will secure AUD7.0mn (USD4.6mn) under the second round of the state's Energy Innovation Fund. The AUD100.0mn (USD65.02mn) facility will be installed outside the town of Terang and will consist of 78 shipping containers. Onsite construction works are due to start in H223, with the BESS planned to be operational by the end of 2024 (Renewables Now).
