Finland: Eltel to build transmission line, substations for Exilion wind farms

    October 6, 2022 - M-Brain Nordic News

Eltel Networks Finland (Eltel Finland), part of Swedish field service provider for communication and power networks Eltel Networks, has signed two agreements with Finnish Exilion, an investment company specialising real estate and renewable energy investments, for the construction of a new transmission line and substations for two new onshore wind farms in Finland. The combined value of the contracts amounts to approximately EUR 11mn. Eltel Finland will be responsible for the construction of a 20-kilometre 110-kV transmission line, two substations and the internal grid for the Isokangas and Palokangas wind farms, which will comprise 17 turbines in total, with a combined capacity of about 100 MW. The annual energy output is estimated to total approximately 320,000 MWh. The project will commence at the end of 2022 and is scheduled to be completed in early 2025.
