News: The Arkansas Public Service Commission has granted approval for the construction of a 250MW solar park in the US. The Entergy Arkansas Driver Solar Project, developed by Lightsource bp, will be located on an 8.49sq km area near Osceola in Mississippi County. The project is expected to generate power that can serve more than 40,000 households. A portion of the output will go to power the manufacturing activities of US Steel's Big River Steel facility. The development and permitting phases of the project have been completed. Completion is expected in late 2024, according to a press release from Lightsource bp (Renewables Now).
