Fortescue, TES To Develop Green Hydrogen Import Facility In Germany

News: The Fortescue Metals Group's green power arm Fortescue Future Industries and Tree Energy Solutions (TES) have unveiled plans to enter into a partnership to jointly develop a green hydrogen import facility in Lower Saxony, Germany. The project will see an investment of EUR130.0mn (USD128.94mn) from Fortescue, of which EUR30.0mn (USD29.75mn) will be in TES and the rest in the facility in Wilhelmshaven. The facility is estimated to supply 300,000 tonnes of green hydrogen in the initial phase. A final investment decision is targeted for 2023 with the first delivery of hydrogen into the terminal slated for 2026 (Reuters).
