Norwegian energy company Cloudberry aims at investments of several billions of SEK in new large-scale electricity production in southern Sweden. A new large offshore wind farm is planned outside Oskarshamn nuclear power plant for around SEK 10bn (EUR 927.14mn USD 960.92mn). According to Cloudberry, the company intends to develop wind power without any subsidies. Thus, it would be Sweden's first largest unsubsidised offshore wind farm. The wind farm is planned to be ready around 2030, to produce around 3 TWh of electricity annually. Cloudberry is further planning another offshore wind farm, Stenkalle, that encompasses 18 wind turbines of a total of 100 MW in Lake Vänern. An investment decision has not yet been made, but if approved, the wind farm is planned to be ready by 2025.
