      /COMUNICAE/

Solar production in the first fifteen days of November increased compared to the same days in 2021 in all markets analyzed. The largest increase was in the Italian market, 61%, followed by the German market, 59%. In the case of wind production, increases were recorded in the German and French markets, of 66% and 119%, respectively. On the other hand, the highest daily wind power production values since April were reached in Spain and France.

Solar photovoltaic and thermoelectric production and wind production

During the second week of November, solar production decreased compared to the previous week in almost all European markets analyzed in AleaSoft Energy Forecasting. The exception was the Portuguese market, with an increase of 13%. On the other hand, the largest drop was in the Italian market, 12%. In the Spanish market, the decline was 3.4%, while in the German and French markets the decreases were less than 0.1%.

Comparing the average solar production of the first two days of the third week of November with the average of the previous week, declines were also recorded in almost all markets. The exception here was the German market, with an increase of 3.2%. In the remaining markets, solar production fell between 34% in the Italian market and 58% in the Portuguese market.

In contrast, when comparing solar production in the first fifteen days of November with that of the same days in 2021, increases were recorded in all the markets analyzed. The largest increase in production was in the Italian market, 61%, followed by the German market, 59%. In the French market, solar production increased by 35%, while the smallest increases were in the Spanish and Portuguese markets, of 1.3% and 4.9%, respectively.

For the third week of November as a whole, AleaSoft Energy Forecasting 's solar production forecasts indicate that declines could be recorded in the German, Spanish and Italian markets.

During the week of November 7, wind production decreased from the previous week in the French and Italian markets, by 25% and 36%, respectively. Increases were recorded in all other markets. The largest increase, of 66%, was in the Portuguese market, while in the German and Spanish markets production with this technology increased by 3.1% and 9.5%, respectively.

If we compare the average wind power production of the first two days of the third week of November with the average of the previous week, the decreases, of 17% and 13%, were recorded in the German and Italian markets, respectively. But, in the other markets, wind power production increased between 11% in the French market and 65% in the Portuguese market.

When comparing wind power production in the first fifteen days of November with that of the same period last year, increases were recorded in the German and French markets, of 66% and 119%, respectively. In the remaining markets, wind power production decreased. The largest drop, 17%, was in the Spanish market. In the Portuguese market the decline was 7.0%, while in the Italian market it was 14%.

In terms of daily wind power production, on Tuesday, November 15, scheduled wind power production on P48 in mainland Spain rose to 353 GWh, the highest since April 23. On that day, between 14:00 and 15:00, production was 17 756 MWh, the highest since that recorded between 19:00 and 20:00 on April 23.

In France, on the other hand, production on Tuesday, November 8, at 280 GWh, was the highest since April 7. In Italy, on the other hand, the lowest wind production since October 17, 2017, of 4.3 GWh was recorded that day.

For the week of November 14 as a whole, AleaSoft Energy Forecasting 's wind production forecasts indicate increases in all markets analyzed. The largest percentage increases are expected in the Iberian Peninsula and Italy.

AleaSoft Energy Forecasting's analysis of the outlook for European energy markets and renewable project financing

On November 22, the fourth auction for the granting of the Renewable Energy Economic Regime (REER) will be held in Spain, for which a quota of 3,300 MW has been established for photovoltaic and onshore wind technologies. AleaSoft Energy Forecasting and AleaGreen are carrying out a special promotion of long-term price forecasts for the Spanish and Portuguese electricity markets, which are especially useful for auction participants. These price forecasts are hourly and have a 30-year horizon, allowing the project's equity to be calculated, not only during the period covered by the auction, but for all or most of the lifetime of the renewable plant. The forecasts also include the confidence bands corresponding to the P15 (AleaLow) and P85 (AleaHigh) percentiles required for risk management and hedging.
