November 17 (Renewables Now) - German wind turbine maker Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) said on Thursday it has secured an order to supply and install turbines at a 35-MW wind farm in southeastern Poland’s Lublin province.
The contract was placed by local developer Wind Farm Lada Sp zoo, a unit of Polish ferrosilicon and silicon-based alloys producer RE Alloys Sp zoo. Under its terms, Nordex will deliver 10 units of its N131/3600 machines, which will be powering the Dzwola wind farm near the city of Zamosc.
The order also comes with a Premium Service contract for the turbines covering 15 years.
The German manufacturer expects to deliver and install the hardware in the autumn of 2023, while the wind farm is scheduled to be switched on at the start of the following year.
The Dzwola plant will be built under a programme that will see RE Alloys cover its entire power demand with electricity from its own renewable power assets. It will be the first wind farm operated by the company.
The order is the second one for Nordex since the start of November in Poland and follows a contract for the 48-MW Nozdrzec wind farm in Subcarpathia province.
