    Russian Federation : Investors from South Korea plan to build mini-hydro power plants in the Naryn region

      - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Naryn region Altynbek Ergeshov paid a working visit to South Korea.

      During the visit, friendly relations were established between the Naryn region of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Gangwon-do Inje district of the Republic of South Korea, and a memorandum on mutual cooperation, exchange of experience and promotion of agricultural projects was signed.

      Entrepreneurs from South Korea have announced that they will consider the possibility of building a small hydropower plant with a capacity of 5 megawatts in the Naryn region. Currently, the selection and preparation of a suitable site for the construction of a hydroelectric power station has begun. In addition, issues related to the construction of enterprises for the processing of oats and the construction of greenhouses for growing vegetables were discussed.

      During the visit of the head of the Naryn region Altynbek Ergeshov to South Korea, agreements were reached on the exchange of experience between specialists in various fields, by the end of November 2022, specialists from South Korea are expected to arrive in the Naryn region.

      It should be noted that due to the high hydropower potential of the Naryn region, there are opportunities to build a hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 2.5 thousand megawatts.
