Finland: Lujabetoni to supply concrete elements for Nordex's wind turbine towers

Concrete construction solutions provider Lujabetoni, part of Finnish construction company Luja Group, has signed an agreement with Nordex Finland, part of German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex Group, for the supply of prefabricated concrete elements for 26 wind turbine towers in Finland. Each tower has 27 prefabricated concrete elements, which vary in size, with the largest elements weighing as much as 60 tonnes. The projects will create up to 100 new jobs at Lujabetoni's Kärsämäki plant, which will be significantly expanded. A new production facility will be built at the Kärsämäki site. Production of the elements will begin as soon as the expansion has been completed in summer 2023, with the first elements to be delivered in late summer 2023. Deliveries will continue in spring 2024.
