November 22 (Renewables Now) - Germany’s Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) said on Tuesday that it has picked up orders to supply its turbines for four wind farm projects totalling 43.2 MW in Belgium.
The orders were placed by Belgian wind farm operator Aspiravi, and include a 20-year premium service contracts for the turbines.
Three of the four wind farms will be located in the region of Wallonia -- 18-MW Saint Ode, the 7.2-MW Fernelmont, and the 7.2-MW Perwez. The fourth one, the 10.8-MW Ninove - Denderleeuw - Aalst, will be in Flanders.
Nordex will supply the N131/3600 turbines for the Saint Ode project, and N117/3600 for Fernelmont and Perwez. The Ninove - Denderleeuw - Aalst wind farm will feature a mix of the N131/3600 and N117/3600 machines, Nordex said.
The wind turbine maker expects to start deliveries and installation works in the summer of 2023.
Aspiravi ordered more than 100 MW worth of wind turbines from Nordex since 2020, including the latest ones. At present, Nordex is assembling 46.8 MW of turbines in Belgium, the German group added.
