A further 400MW of electricity have been added to the national grid by the new Ashuganj Power Station project, which has begun commercial operation from Saturday night.
With this, the capacity of Ashuganj Power Station Company stands at 1800MW.
Ashuganj Power Station Company Managing Director Engineer AMM Sajjadur Rahman confirmed this information on Sunday, reports Bangla Tribune.
He said: '400MW of electricity have been commercially provided to the national grid since Saturday night. The Ashuganj Power Station Company's energy generation capacity increased to 1800MW as a result. To boost the output of electricity, we have undertaken numerous efforts.'
According to company sources, Ashuganj Power Station Company began producing energy from the new 400 MW combined cycle power plant (East) in an experimental capacity at the end of last June.
